MATERIALS AND MAKING
Materials are never just components. They are the starting point of every story. What follows is how we choose them, where they come from, and the hands they pass through before they reach yours.
SILK
Luminous. Refined. Enduring
Our silk is selected with the care reserved for lasting pieces. Woven from mulberry fibers in 16, 18 and 22 momme weights, it reveals color with clarity and depth, allowing each hue to feel rich, balanced, and alive. Soft yet structured, the fabric moves with ease while holding form, carrying every design with honesty and grace.
Every silk piece carries STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX certification under Product Class I, the strictest tier of the standard, reserved for textiles that meet the limits set for babies and young children. Every component, including dyes and finishes, is screened for substances harmful to human health, making each scarf safe in prolonged contact with even the most sensitive skin.
Silk is not a trend. It is a promise of longevity, and a luxury that endures.
COTTON
Light. Honest. Everyday
Our cotton scarves are crafted from long staple fibers with an 80s yarn count, selected for their softness, breathability, and natural comfort against the skin. Light by nature yet quietly resilient, the fabric feels familiar from the first wear. Each design is printed on a single side, allowing the artwork to settle gently into the weave, while the fabric's subtle transparency creates a soft, diffused reverse that gives every piece depth and character.
Our cotton is 100% organic and GOTS certified, carrying the highest label grade the standard awards. The Global Organic Textile Standard certifies that fibers are organically grown and processed responsibly at every stage, from harvest to finished fabric, with strict environmental and social criteria along the way.
Designed to be worn often, these scarves respond with ease to the way they are folded, tied, and shaped. Cotton is chosen for its honesty, its comfort, and its ability to evolve beautifully over time.
CRAFTSMANSHIP
We create in small batches, giving every design the time and attention it deserves. Every design begins as a drawing in New York City and is produced between Como and Hangzhou, two cities that have worked in silk for generations. That scale lets us work closely with a select group of factories we trust, chosen not only for their technical excellence but for their commitment to fair practices and respect for the people behind each piece.
BEYOND THE PRODUCT
This same care extends past the scarves themselves. All packaging materials are sourced from FSC certified paper, part of a broader commitment to responsible sourcing that reaches every layer of what we send you, from the object to the box it arrives in.
